Membership Categories & Fees

Affordable Housing Providers, Owners and Managers

Non-profit and for profit organizations that own, lease and/or operate, manage affordable, social, supportive or transitional housing

1 – 10,000 units	$2.00/unit
10,001 – 20,000 units	$0.50/unit
20,001 or more units	$0.25/unit

Minimum fee= $200

*Note: The above fees are calculated on a bracket-basis

(i.e. if you have 20,000 units, the first 10,000 are $2.00/unit and the second 10,000 are $0.50/unit.)

Municipalities

Municipalities or townships in Canada which support but do not directly provide affordable housing

Populations under 10,000	$350
Populations 10,000-50,000	$500
Populations 50,000-100,000	$750
Populations 100,000-200,000	$1,000
Populations 200,000-500,000	$1,250
Populations 500,000 or more	$1,500

Provincial and Territorial Departments

Less than 1% of Canadian population	$1,500
1% to 5% of Canadian population	$3,000
5% to 15% of Canadian population	$5,000
Over 15% of Canadian population	$7,000

Associations and Networks

National and provincial, member-based associations and networks.

e.g. ONPHA, BCNPHA, Reseau Quebecois des OSBL

200 members or less	$350
201-500 members	$500
501 – 1000 members	$1,000
1001 or more members	$1,500

Non-Profit Groups: $350
Community agencies, advocacy groups with an interest in affordable housing, ending homelessness and community renewal. e.g. homelessness-focused organizations (community advisory boards), mental health and addiction service providers, faith-based organizations

Business Partners: $500

For-profit businesses serving the broader affordable housing sector

e.g. business improvement groups

Individual Members:

Individuals wishing to join CHRA, including individual consultants and practitioners serving the sector. Benefits apply only to the named individual in the case of a partnership consultancy

Regular	$350
Reduced Fee (Full-time student, Retired, Low-income/unwaged, Emerging Professional)*	$50

* Emerging Professional: someone who has been working in housing for 5 years or less and/or is under 30 years of age.
