2013 CHRA Board Elections: Call for Nominations

The Nominations Committee invites members of Canadian Housing and Renewal Association (CHRA) to nominate candidates for the Board of Directors.

CHRA is a national not-for‐profit organization founded in 1968 to provide leadership in the social housing sector. With members across Canada, CHRA is dedicated to shaping housing policy in Canada, to developing strong housing networks and leaders across the country, and to supporting and growing our membership. CHRA has more than 250 organizational and individual members and has an annual budget of approximately $750,000. CHRA is managed on behalf of the membership by a Board of 15 elected directors.

Board Elections

Only one position is up for election for the 2013-2014 board. The At-Large position held by Val Hinsperger ends after the 2013 AGM. The next term will run until the close of the 2016 AGM.

Directors are eligible to serve for two consecutive terms for a total of six years and then must step down from the board for a minimum of one year before running for another position on the board.
